Josh.Baby Brother.{2013 Senior}

Ohhhhhh goodness!!! It is going to be a challenage for me to type this post and not cry! After all I am 13 years older than my youngest brother, Josh. I was there when he first kicked my momma in the belly, I was there when we heard his heart beat for the first time, there when my moms water broke, when he was born… I was there. I changed his diapers, made his bottles, fed him, cleaned his bottles, rocked him to sleep while singing lullabies, got up with him in the middle of the night, ok, I helped raised him in a way! He feels like one of my babies. Here he is….. 6 ft, 2 in. tall and a senior in high school. Time really does go by so fast. He is a stinker for sure, spoiled rotten brat at times! haha! But I am so proud of him! Josh is the sweetest and funniest boy that I know! He makes everyone around him laugh and feel at ease, he is so sweet and caring, rarely will you ever hear him say a bad word about someone else. He keeps his grades up in school and takes his after school job and summer jobs seriously. If he makes a commitment, he keeps it. Not only all that, but geez, isn’t he just down right gorgeous!?!? I am so thankful that I was able to capture his senior photos! We had a blast driving around town to different locations all while he would sing along to his i-pod. The songs were of his choice and most I had no idea what they were saying….. I just know he was making me laugh. Of course when we finished we had to stop in to the local Frisch’s to visit Mykayla {his sweet girlfriend} and share a Big Boy & Hot Fudge Cake!! It was a great day and one I will cherish for ever!

Cola Inspired Senior Session

When I saw that old Coke~A~Cola ice box I knew I would focus a shoot around it! So all the pieces came together wonderfully and then my beautiful niece agreed to be my model. So darling, isn’t she?!? Doing stylized photo session is so rewarding for me! It let’s me create and make little senerio’s come to life that for most would just stay as an “idea”. I think it also is a great way for others to see what I can come up with and to learn my personal style and not to mention it is great advertisement!! I want my photos to stand apart from the norm and to really be “me”. I know that I am doing a work for others and it’s not all about my style and what I want, but I believe it should be an equal blend of the two  parties involved. I want to attract customers that appreciate my look and want me to create something similar for them. It makes me feel so good when I hear, “I love your style of photography.” It lets me know that they noticed the difference and appreciate that I am a little different than most. I love this business of photography! There are thousands and thousands of wonderful and talented photographers across the country and most all are open and willing to help their competitor grow and succeed in some way. I know if it had not been for other photog friends I wouldn’t be able to do what I am doing now. I hope to always return that favor.

The Isaac & Isabelle in “Isaac & Isabelle’s Photo Booth”

Oh, goodness. Where do I start? When it comes to speaking about my children I just don’t know what to say, or rather, what NOT to say. There is so very much, I could go on for endless paragraphs. They have changed my life in so many ways and I am so grateful for their little souls. Sometimes after they fall asleep at night I will lay my head over their chest and thank God for blessing me with that life. Of course, I cry like a baby. So when it came to giving a name to this little business that I LOVE so very much, it was a no brainer. I had always thought that the name “Isaac & Isabelle” kinda had a “boutique” name to it. Oh, and yeah, I would like to also own a vintage shop one day, but that’s for another post.  Anyway… that’s where my name came from…. my beautiful children.

Here are some photos of my sweet Isabelle and a few of little stinker Isaac. He is soooo over me taking pictures that he literally runs from the camera! It’s a shame because he is beyond gorgeous, especially in his pictures. Hehe, that’s mother Hen’s opinion anyway.:)

Savannah, Tybee, & Hilton Head {A Family Get Away}

Fun, fun, fun. We had fun! Todd & I were both dreading that 12 hour drive with two toddlers, but it turned out to be ok. We just made sure they had plenty of cartoons to watch in the back seat and that we stopped at Chik-fil-a so they could spend some time in the play-land.  Starting our own family traditions is so sweet for me. That is one thing that I can vividly remember from my childhood…. our family trips and how much fun I had. Creating trips and memories for my babies is something I absolutely love. Todd and I waited so long to have Isaac & Isabelle and every second of fun we can create for them is a joy for us.

After the kids being so good on the drive down we decided that the next day they deserved to go to the beach first thing. They had never been to the beach. Of course we knew that they would like sand and the water, but we had no idea how much they both would LOVE it!! I think it was way better than Christmas morning for them. They just ran and screamed with pure joy. It made Todd & I laugh. It warms your heart to see your kids so happy. Sissy would say, “I go swimmmming!!!” Then she would run and splash in the water that was left from where the tide had moved out. Isaac liked the water coming up onto the beach the best. He would jump the little waves and scream his highest pitched scream and then just laugh & laugh. Isabelle was more afraid of that moving water. Feeding and chasing the seagulls was another favorite until one bird nipped Isabelle’s finger. She cried a little, but was back to chasing them the next minute.

Soooo, Tybee Island & Hilton Head Island were a hit with the kids. Beautiful & peaceful, not to mention relaxing. Savannah was beyond words gorgeous! Paula Deen’s restaurant, Lady & Son’s, was delish. On the way home we decided to break the drive up and spend the night in Pigeon Forge. Eating at the Old Mill Cafe was the icing on our vacation cake!! Todd & I are blessed. Blessed to have each other, blessed to have Isaac, blessed to have Isabelle. God has been abundantly gracious and favorable to me, my husband, & our children. I thank him that we were able to take time out from everyday life to reflect on all of our blessings.

Having fun in the fountains at Hilton Head.

Beautiful Forsyth Park in Savannah.

This was his, “I will not look at you & smile” face.

Even Minnie Mouse & Rubbie had fun!
